Where are you headed?

I tried Karne mostly because it was new and I was tired of eating the same stuff on campus. I ended up getting the brisket chili and it was actually a really good lunch. The chili has a lot of flavor, and I like that you can pile on whatever toppings you want. I also tried the Franks in Blankets another time, and those were a lot better than I expected. Some days I'd go fries + chili because I'm starving, other days I'd probably do quinoa + fajitas when I know I have class afterward. They have house iced teas too, which is nice when I don't want another soda. And if I still have room, the Dulce de Dátil is a really good little chocolatey date dessert. I'm still figuring out what my usual order is going to be, but for a new spot on campus, Karne is definitely worth trying.

Karne just opened at CSUN and honestly… it's fire. Why did nobody tell me about this? The chicken fajitas are easily some of the best I've had. Super flavorful. The Western sauce is also so good, like smoky, tangy with just enough kick. And the fries? Wow. Lowkey, the hot dogs are the sleeper too. They remind me of a Dodger Stadium dog, but with way more interesting toppings like creamed corn and chili. It's a little more than Panda or El Pollo Loco, with most mains around $13, but I honestly think it's worth paying the extra few bucks for food that tastes better and doesn't leave me feeling sick. They've also got specialty teas, cane-sugar sodas, and these chocolatey date bites that are dangerous. It's brand new, the wait isn't bad, and I'd definitely put this on the CSUN lunch rotation.

Kosher food at the north valley. Great food for beef eaters and vegan and in between. Good price .
